it was a nice pace for season 2 after season 1. Im ready for season 3
One of the most epic battles with some of the greatest fighters of that era happening on a random farm; with no spectators or fanfare. I love this show so much. This fight is amazing.
Snake being Warrior of Miklagard is cool as hell. Keep in mind this is all happening sometime in 9th century. Back then population of European cities like London was ≈50k and Paris ≈200k while Miklagard (Istanbul) was around 500k and by some accounts almost a million. That and it being a capital of Byzantine Empire as well as trading hub between Europe, Asia and Africa made it one of the most important locations of that time. Snake was likely in service of Byzantine Emperor as part of Varangian Guard. He is elite.

How the hell did Snake travel all the way from Miklagard to Norway?
Isn't Miklagard like Istanbul nowadays? From Miklagard to Norway some where like Stavanger (closes to the coast line of Denmark) that's like nealry 3000 KM if you go straight
That's even further than iceland to L’Anse aux Meadows (where Vikings went to in Canada) which is 2,510  KM
I love 1:22 choreography with the fight.
In that moment, Thorfinn flurry of blows, while it did not hit Snake, was quick and precise that Snake's own attack looked so unbalanced in comparision.
Flurry of blows done right, you don't attack "fast" just to try and hit the target more, but to force your opponent into more unfavorable position so they have less chance to retaliate.

People do realize that snake was apart of the Varangian Guard, This position would have exposed him to significant combat experience.
Good thing about Vinland saga is, it doesn’t have unrealistically strong appearing characters like other animes aside from thors. Point being any regular looking guy could turn out to be your worst nightmare

this is one of the best animated fights ever somehow.. it stands off with masterpieces like levi vs kenny squad, gon vs hisoka, lemillion vs overhaul… its up there
