For example, one would expect Subaro Magic Academy to perform at least a basic security background check before admitting new students—especially in a world as dangerous as this. Secondly, it seems unrealistic for a novice magician to venture outside their sanctuary into a war-torn environment simply to help a girl trying to save her brainwashed brother. Lastly, there are a few harem or suggestive scenes that felt out of place and personally detracted from the experience.
That said, the anime still has its charm. If I were reviewing it on MAL, I’d give it a 6.5 out of 10—mainly for its appealing art style and for how well the character Mui was designed, making her especially likable.
